What types of yoga does Ian teach?

Hatha Yoga, styles include: Yang yoga – vinyasa flow; Yin Yoga; core yoga; restorative yoga; Trauma Informed Yoga Teaching (TIYT 1); Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy techniques (TIYT 2); Seniors’ Yoga, Yoga in Schools, Chair Yoga, Grief Yoga; specialized clinics for Athletes’, Men, Pre-natal, Post-natal, and Grief Yoga.

What types of mindfulness training does Ian offer?

General mindfulness based on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques, Insight Meditation, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.

Ian is a Koru Mindfulness Teacher-in-Training. He has completed the Teacher Training Workshop and the Koru Teacher’s Trauma Informed Mindfulness Workshop.  Ian offers instruction in Koru Mindfulness Basic, Koru Mindfulness & Meditation  2.0; and Koru Retreats.

What type of Personal Growth Coaching does Ian offer?

Ian offers 90-day individual programs to selected clients seeking  personal growth and transformation. The “Transform Yourself” Program is co-designed using the Co-Active Coaching (CTI) framework.

The Transform Yourself  Program includes non-judgemental discovery of behaviour patterns,  yoga, mindful meditation,  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques, bias mitigation, and habit formation. The program lasts 90-days to optimize  potential for permanent transformation. 

The client may wish to include an additional  Physical Transformation Program option for an additional fee to be negotiated based on the time allocated and the number of activities included  in the Program.  The Physical Transformation program will be uniquely tailored to each client. It could include elements of aerobic activity, weight training, yoga, and mindfulness which complement the Personal Growth Coaching. 

Where does Ian teach yoga? 

Ian is a contract teacher. He has taught at three studios, a PTSD clinic, an elementary school, a church, and a running club. He has taught individual athletes getting ready for competition.

Until further notice, the majority of Ian’s teaching is online via Zoom link.

Where does Ian teach mindfulness?

Ian teaches mindfulness on line via Zoom.  Zoom links are provided after registration and payment. 

Where does Ian coach?

Ian trains clients in the Halifax Regional Municipality with proof of double vaccination in person at mutually agreed venues. 

Ian trains all others on line via a Zoom link provided after registration and payment.
